An industrial compound is three sites in one: a freight yard, a staff car park and a walking worksite, all laid over the same tarmac. HGVs delivering to the store, employee cars clocking in, visitors at reception and crews on foot crossing to the line all meet at the same junction. A plant runs every hour and every season, often beside fuel and chemicals where a leak is a real risk.
